Meet Amir
Who I Am
I’m Amir Gharavi, a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner (Proficient) and the founder of Simplify Coaching.
I’ve always been curious about human behaviour — why we do what we do. I also have my own lived experience with mental health, and much of what I’ve learned started with understanding myself.
In 2020, I realised I was spending more time studying psychology and behaviour change than anything else, and that it had always been where my focus naturally went. So I decided to change direction and build a career around what I was truly drawn to.
Since then, I’ve worked in the disability sector in various roles, supporting people, families, and providers. Along the way, a colleague and psychologist, Brett, encouraged me to become a Behaviour Support Practitioner. That advice shaped the path I’m still on today.

My Approach
I identify as a lifelong learner, and I see wellbeing as multifaceted — physical, emotional, social, and environmental.
I don’t see people as a set of labels, but as whole human beings just figuring out what works for them.
There’s no “boohoo” and no nonsense in how I work. Either something helps or it doesn’t, and if it doesn’t, we keep trying until we find what does.
My role isn’t to fix people, but to walk alongside them — simplifying what feels complex and creating space for growth.
